Meta Ads Campaign for the Coast is Queer Festival

I worked with the Coast is Queer festival, created by New Writing South, to promote the festival to new audiences on Instagram and Facebook.

Aims of the project

Ticket Sales

The main aim of the project was to sell between 50 and 100 tickets

New email subscribers

The client wanted to increase their email database with 100 new contacts.

New Instagram followers

The client wanted 200 new followers for the Coast is Queer Instagram account

Ad 1

This advert increased awareness of the festival in general.

Ad 2

This advert was in a carosel style, highlighting different events taking place throughout the festival.

Ad 3

This advert offered a discount code for signing up to their mailing list.

The Process

The adverts were run across Facebook and Instagram, across multiple different placements. Different audience types were tested and the ads were tweaked weekly to improve performance. Some ads were turned off as they were less effective than others, whilst the weighting of ad spend also changed to reflect the impact of the ad.

The Results

  • Ticket Sales

    In total 124 tickets were sold, exceeding the target of 50 - 100 tickets.

  • Email Subscribers

    362 new contacts signed up the Coast is Queer mailing list. This is over three times more than the original target of 100 new subscribers.

  • Instagram Followers

    The Coast Is Queer Instagram account gained a total of 744 new followers. This nearly exceeded the 200 target fourfold.
